China Desk
China in the past decade has reinvented itself and has found its place in the world as an important emerging economy. In 2013, President Xi Jinping announced the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) which focuses on infrastructure development and investment initiatives that would stretch from East Asia to Europe. With strong support from the Chinese government, BRI stimulates economic growth by providing new business opportunities in the region.
At MahWengKwai & Associates, we believe that the dragon of the east has awakened and China’s BRI will bring global trade liberalization to greater heights.
