The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising ten countries in Southeast Asia – Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The association seeks to promote intergovernmental cooperation and facilitate economic, political, and sociocultural integration among its members and other countries in Asia.

ASEAN rich with natural resources are seeing a dynamic vibrant boost in its economic community which is projected to be the fourth-largest economy come 2050. The robust growth in the ASEAN region has seen much movement in cross border transactions and trade.
