Hao Jet graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, in 2023. He subsequently obtained the Certificate in Legal Practice in 2024 and commenced his pupillage at MahWengKwai & Associates. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in July 2026.

During his pupillage at MahWengKwai & Associates, Hao Jet gained exposure to a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, arbitration, and family law proceedings.
