OVERVIEW: The Movement Control Order (“MCO”) has caused distress for several companies due to suspension of their operations and businesses. Under the Companies Act 2016, there are two Corporate Rescue Mechanisms which can be used. The first being Corporate Voluntary Arrangement and the second being Judicial Management. In this online talk, our speakers introduced what Corporate Voluntary Arrangements (“CVA”) are with a specific focus on CVA’s. Our speakers answered companies’ concerns over the MCO.
