3:00 pm – 3:45 pm Breach of Contract: The COVID-19 Aftermath

About this talk

Are your contracts in jeopardy due to the movement control orders? Most businesses have been adversely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Government-imposed lockdowns. In an attempt to mitigate the fallout, the Government finally gazetted the Temporary Measures for Reducing the Impact of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Act 2020 (“COVID Act“) on 23.10.2020. This talk will discuss the COVID Act generally, with a focus on its effect on construction contracts, tenancy agreements, contracts relating to events and services and sales and purchase agreements.
