Ow Jeong Jun

Jeong Jun regularly acts and advises at all levels of the Malaysian Courts in highly contentious disputes involving companies, corporations and businesses, such as in shareholders and directors disputes, corporate fraud,, asset and debt recovery as well as corporate insolvency.

Jeong Jun is also experienced in matters relating to cross-border disputes and insurance litigation matters.

Jeong Jun’s other practice areas span across land disputes, negligence and tortious disputes, contractual disputes, arbitration and mediation, enforcement of foreign judgments, defamation and general litigation.

Jeong Jun is a graduate with Honours from the Northumbria University, United Kingdom and was called to the Bar of England and Wales (Lincoln’s Inn). Prior to joining MahWengKwai & Associates, he completed his pupillage and practised as a lawyer in a one of the largest firms in Malaysia with an international network.

• Appeared for a one of the largest automotive logistic companies in Malaysia in obtaining an Aonton Pillar, conpelling the Defendant to permit entry into its its property to search for and seize evidence and records, including electronic data and equipment.
• Appeared for a company in a breach of Share Sale Agreement worth RM3.6 million.
• Appeared for an international water technology company for a breach of contract worth RM2.63 million.
• Appeared for an international company in successfully obtaining a winding-up order for the sum for RM6.14 million.
• Appeared for one of the ASEAN’s leading payment solutions provider company in successfully defending a claim of RM3.6 million.
• Assisted publicly listed company in filing suits against its former chairman, ex-managing director and former directors for breach of fiduciary duty and misappropriation of funds and investments.
• Appeared for the liquidator in the ratification of the liquidator’s fees worth RM6 million.
• Regularly acts for business in recovery of business debts.
