Muhammad Aqil Shah bin Nasharuddin graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Universiti Malaya in 2023. He completed his pupillage at Messr Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh under the guidance of Mr Kamraj Nayagam where he was exposed to various areas of practice including general litigation, construction litigation, corporate litigation, arbitration, mergers and acquisition and aviation.

Aqil Shah completed his pupillage in July 2024. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in September 2024 and began practice as an associate at MahWengKwai & Associates upon his admission.

Aqil Shah’s areas of practice include strata management and probate matters.

• Assisted in a service out of jurisdiction application involving negligence and a claim for monies in the High Court of Kuala Lumpur.
• Observed and assisted in a trial at the High Court of Kuala Lumpur regarding disputes between Joint Management Body (JMB) and Developer.
• Assisted in a Management Corporation dispute claim in the High Court of Kuala Lumpur.
