Daphne graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London in 2016 and completed her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2017. She completed her pupillage at Moideen & Max under the tutelage of Mr Faisal Moideen and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in January 2019. Her experience includes a variety of areas such as contractual and commercial disputes, employment/industrial relations and construction disputes.
She joined MahWengKwai & Associates as an Associate in 2022.

- Successfully recovered 11.3 Bitcoins from a trader for the largest cryptocurrency trading platform in Malaysia in the first cryptocurrency case in Malaysia
- Successfully resisted a constructive dismissal claim initiated by a Senior Captain against an airline in the Industrial Court and the Judicial Review application before the High Court which followed
- Successfully resisted an unfair dismissal claim initiated by employees of an airline following a retrenchment exercise in the Industrial Court
- Acted for the subsidiary of a large construction corporation to intervene and strike out an application for Judicial Management
- Acted for a multinational corporation in applying to set aside a winding-up order on grounds of impropriety relating to the operability of Section 545 of the Companies Act 2016
- Acted for a multinational corporation in claims relating to recovery of sums paid pursuant to a large-scale plantation investment scheme
- Acted for a company in demanding for the compensation awarded under the Land Acquisition Act 1960
