Ann graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree in 1995 and obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice in 1997 after taking a gap year. She holds a Masters in Law Degree from the National University of Malaysia (2000).

Ann started her career as an academician teaching on the University of Manchester, Oxford Brookes University, University of London and University of Tasmania law programs on a variety of subjects and had also taught on the Malaysian Certificate of Legal Practice course. She had acted as visiting lecturer on the University of London program for a private college in Hong Kong and Singapore and had also spent a year teaching law at the University of Tasmania, Australia.  Ann ended her career in academia after 15 years, stepping down as Head of School and Dean for the School of Law at KDU University College, Malaysia. She is honored to have spent more than a decade contributing to the well-being and future of her law students.

Ann was then admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2011.

She joined the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) in November 2011, now known as the Asian International Arbitration Centre, as Deputy Head of Legal Services, heading the construction adjudication department in its pioneering efforts establishing itself as the sole adjudication authority in Malaysia as charged by the Malaysian Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA). Ann was also instrumental in the setting up of the examination processes and conduct for the KLRCA Adjudication Training program. She was then promoted to lead the marketing endeavors of the KLRCA both on the domestic and international front as Head of Business Development. She finds her years at the KLRCA to be enriching and character building.

Ann was headhunted to join Mulia Property Development Sdn. Bhd. in 2015, an Indonesian property development company, as Senior Legal Manager to head its legal department.
