The COVID-19 outbreak continues to escalate globally, and many organisations, as well as individuals, are seeking ways to contribute to the relief and recovery efforts.
Research shows that individuals who are diagnosed with kidney disease or individuals who have undergone kidney transplant face a greater risk of serious complications in the unfortunate event they contract the COVID-19 virus. Over the years, MWKA has volunteered and assisted the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF) in their various efforts in creating awareness, advocating public policy issues and raising funds to bring a positive change to the society.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, MWKA has also extended our helping hand in donating 100 pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to NKF as a token of gratitude for NKF’s dedication and continuous efforts in carrying out their social responsibility. Below is a screenshot of a NKF Malaysia’s Facebook post:
In addition, MWKA would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the frontliners for working relentlessly around the clock. We further urge everyone to do their part to stem the COVID-19 outbreak and protect their loved ones, neighbours, friends and fellow frontliners.
